Description

The lessons cover all four modules of the IELTS tests using comprehensive procedures and a lot of practice guaranteed to help you get a high band score.

The curriculum in this regard is focused at delivering on outstandingly improving the productive and receptive skills of the attendees:

 

Writing:

  1. Information about the IELTS writing test.

  2. Getting started with writing task 1:

    • Overview of question types.

    • Appropriate language for expressing time and no time data sets, for making comparison & contrast, as well as describing changes, similarities and differences.

    • Structure parameters/recommendations.

    • Skill focus for letter writing, also for analyzing & interpreting visuals & graphs (such as selecting & grouping information, stating purpose, defining the audience, using appropriate tone, registers & style).

  3. Getting started with writing task 2:

    • Overview of question types.

    • Techniques for question analysis (such as identifying keywords that define the topic and sub-topic from the task).

    • Selecting & presenting ideas appropriately to detail the topic for each paragraph as a signpost for the overall structure.

    • Language strategies & skill focus for essay writing that circumventing waffles/clichés & hit the word range target (such as the correct use of modifiers, varying sentence structures, composing complex sentences, appropriately using punctuations/linkers and suitable tenses, plus using a wide range of vocabulary relevant to the topic, alongside providing relevant examples & relating parity experience).

  4. The writing process

    • Strategies for an inclusive introduction: asking the six WHO? questions, writing a clear overview, paraphrasing the background situation & stating the thesis & outline statement.

    • Strategies for composing coherent & cohesive body paragraphs for academic purposes.

    • Features of a good conclusion.
